A Start

After much dithering, I'm taking the plunge into blogland. Blogs have been keeping me company on world travels for the past three years, but I've been too indecisive to start one myself.

I'm a feminist. I'm about to become a housewife. I'm also a traveller, a historian, a seamstress, a reader, and I love politics - particularly the politics of America, Ireland, England and France. I'm getting married soon.

I'm not sure yet what direction this blog will take. I've diligently read many 'So You'd Like To Be A Blogger' helpful-type articles, and all agreed that a good blog should have one main area of specialisation. I should settle on sewing, or feminism, or cooking, or travelling. That makes sense. I probably will end up that way. For the moment, though, I'm going to write about whatever I feel like, and see where that leads.
